About Your Medicare Part D Plan Benefits

Part D plans provide you with insurance coverage for your prescription drugs because original Medicare parts A and B do not cover medications that you pick up from the pharmacy.

All Part D plans are on a calendar year of January through December.

Plans vary vastly in their costs and in what medications they will cover so it is important to review them each year for coverage of your specific medications.

You will typically pay a monthly premium, a deductible, and then a copay and/or a co-insurance for your medications.
